Is Wal-Mart the devil?

is it just me or has Wal-Mart become synonymous with satan in the last few years? i'm not sure why, but i am supposed to HATE them, PROTEST them, spit when i hear thy name...ok sure, but why am i doing that again?

i hear stuff like "they're taking over the world" and "their CEO is an evil genius".

i sorta buy it because when you hear so much bad about a person/entity/corporation you just begin to believe it. but i just realized, that i honestly don't know if any of this stuff is true.

now if US WEEKLY or IN TOUCH tells me to hate them (and if they have a really juicy picture of Wal-Mart drunk at a Hollywood club) than i'll believe it! until then, i choose to not hate an entire corporation just because everyone else does. instead, i will hate them just because they have a pretentious smiley face for a mascot.

May I recommend hating Wal-Mart with style and elegance? I first started hating them in 2001 when I happened upon the book "How Wal-Mart is Destroying American (And the World) and What You Can Do About It!" Wow- it rocked my world. Recently, I watched "Walmart: The High Cost of Low Prices" which was entertaining and infuriating. Very informative. Did you know that they employ "full timers" at 28 hours a week, and the "benefits" are so crappy their employees can't afford a doctor's visit, so the management sets out Medicaid forms in the employee lounge along with tips on how to cut in line at the government assistance offices. So we are actually paying for Wal-Mart employees to go on welfare. And they have little hope of getting ahead. It's sickening, really.

I hate them because I am an outrageous annoying liberal. Places like Walmart cause our Mom & Pop shops to go out of business, not only taking away small businesses, but the individualism of our nation. And the damn smiley face is annoying as all hell...
